Bonjour,j'ai quelque soucis de gravure avec mon graveur HL-DT-ST DVDRRW GWA-4161B , sur le devant de mon graveur c'est écrit DVD + R DL , mon probleme c'est que je n'arrive pas a graver de DVD +R DL ( double couche ) . Est ce que mon graveur fait double couche ?
Quand j'essaye d'analyser mes DVD double couche le logiciel n'arrive pas et sa affiche SCSI Statut : Medium Not present .
y'aurait -il un probleme au niveau de mon graveur ?

Il ne reconnait pas le support, solution en changer ou mettre à jour ton graveur. A priori c'est un graveur OEM, si tel est le cas le plus simple c'est de voir si l'intégrateur (HP ?) ne propose pas une mise à jour du firmware via son site.

j'ai déja essayer ... pour mettre a jour le firmware du graveur faut graver sur un cd le firmware supèrieur ... la gravure ce passe bien aucun soucis ( essayer avec 3 logiciel differend ) mais lors de la mise a jour du graveur une fenetre s'ouvre et me dit que la mise a jour est impossible vu qu'il y a eu une erreur de gravure ...

Quand je parlais de changer de support je pensais au media, au DVD.

Etrange que tu ne puisse pas mettre à jour ton graveur, tu as bien suivi la procédure ?

2. At the File Download screen, click the Save button.
3. At the Save As screen, save the file to your Desktop.
4. If a message appears stating that the file already exists, click YES to overwrite file.
5. Close all applications and remove any discs from the system optical drives (CD or DVD).
6. Double-click the icon for the update file downloaded in step 1, and then click NEXT.
7. Accept the terms in the HP License Agreement, and then click NEXT.
8. Go to the next step for the type of media you are using, either a blank floppy diskette or a blank recordable CD (CD-R).

To install the update using a blank floppy diskette:

9. Select Floppy Diskette in the "HL-DT-ST DVDRRW GWA-4161B...." window, and then click OK.
10. Insert the blank floppy diskette and click OK in the "HL-DT-ST DVDRRW GWA-4161B...." window.
11. Wait a few minutes for the program to create the Firmware Update diskette.
12. Leave the floppy diskette in the floppy drive and click OK to restart the system.
13. Follow on-screen instructions. 
Note: Be sure to read the instructions carefully.  Failure to follow the instructions will damage the drive.
14. After the update is complete, remove the floppy diskette from the floppy drive and restart the system.

To install the update using a blank recordable CD (CD-R):

9. Select CD Disc in the "HL-DT-ST DVDRRW GWA-4161B...." window, and then click OK.
10. Click OK in the "HL-DT-ST DVDRRW GWA-4161B...." window.
11. To continue with the remaining update steps, refer to the appropriate instructions for the CD recording software you are going to use.

For Veritas RecordNow Version 5.0 or earlier:
1. Click START on the taskbar, and choose (All) Programs, CD (DVD) Recorder, RecordNow, and then click RecordNow again.
2. In the RecordNow application window, click Make a Data Disc.
3. Insert the blank recordable CD (CD-R) into the drive, and then click NEXT.
4. Click Add Files and Folders.
5. Navigate to the folder containing the update file (C:\SoftPaq\sp26777), select the sp26777.iso file and click ADD.
6. Click Yes and wait for RecordNow to complete the update CD.
7. Leave the disc in the drive and restart the system.
8. Follow the on-screen instructions to update the firmware. 
Note: Be sure to read the instructions carefully.  Failure to follow the instructions will damage the drive.
9. After the firmware update is complete, remove the CD from the optical drive and restart the system.

For Sonic RecordNow! 6.0:
RecordNow! 6.0 does not support the ISO image burning feature.  To update RecordNow! 6.0 to RecordNow! 6.7:
1. Click START on the taskbar, and choose All Programs, CD (DVD) Recorder, RecordNow!, and then click RecordNow! again.
2. Click on the Help menu icon (a question mark), then click Check for Updates.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update.
Note: You may need to run the update twice, once to update the RecordNow! PX recording engine and again to update RecordNow! to version 6.7.
4. When you are finished updating to RecordNow! 6.7, go to the instructions for Sonic RecordNow! 6.5 or 6.7 to continue with the remaining steps of this firmware update.

For Sonic RecordNow! Version 6.5 or 6.7:
1. Click START on the taskbar, and choose (All) Programs, CD (DVD) Recorder, RecordNow!, and then click RecordNow! again.
2. In the RecordNow! application window, click the tab to view Backup Projects.
3. Click Burn Image.
4. Click Browse.
5. Navigate to the folder containing the update file (C:\SoftPaq\sp26777), select the sp26777.iso file and click ADD.
6. Insert the blank recordable CD (CD-R) into the drive.

6. Insert the blank recordable CD (CD-R) into the drive.
7. Click Burn and wait for RecordNow to complete the update CD.
8. Leave the disc in the drive and restart the system.
9. Follow the on-screen instructions to update the firmware. 
Note: Be sure to read the instructions carefully.  Failure to follow the instructions will damage the drive.

For Roxio Easy CD and DVD Creator 6:
1. Click START on the taskbar, and choose (All) Programs, Roxio Easy CD and DVD Creator 6, and then click Creator Classic.
2. In the File Menu, click Record Disc from Image.
3. Navigate to the folder containing the update file (C:\SoftPaq\sp26777), select the sp26777.iso file and click OPEN.
4. Insert the blank recordable CD (CD-R) into the drive.
5. Click OK in the Record Setup window and wait for Roxio to complete the update CD.
6. Leave the disc in the drive and restart the system.
7. Follow the on-screen instructions to update the firmware. 
Note: Be sure to read the instructions carefully.  Failure to follow the instructions will damage the drive.
8. After the firmware update is complete, remove the CD from the optical drive and restart the system.

Tu dis aussi que la mise a jour est impossible vu qu'il y a eu une erreur de gravure ... je ne comprends pas de quoi tu parles, erreur de gravure/lecture du CD de mise à jour ? Si oui, graves le sur un autre CD ou graveur voire chez quelqu'un d'autre.

Maintenant c'est sûr vu l'âge du graveur LG et si tu recherche la simplicité/rapidité le plus simple c'est de changer de graveur, en ce sens le modèle que tu pointes conviendra aux tâches de gravure les plus élémentaires.

soit à présent noyé au fond du forum …
Son post de conclusion écrit en date du 22 mai 2007 est toujours d’actualité plus de 2 ans plus tard et indique où rechercher précisément la réponse à votre question.

En suivant les liens sur cdfreaks on peu en effet apprendre que ce graveur LG GWA-4161A est capable de graver plusieurs MID code de DVD+R DL, bien sûr pas tous les MID codes de ce format et sans doute pas les plus récents parmi les certifiés 8x (voir post suivant).

Maintenant pour savoir quel est le MID code vous avez essayé de graver sans succès
- il vous suffit d’utiliser le logiciel DVD Identifier
- et pour voir comment le firmware de votre graveur actuel réagit après l’introduction du DVD vierge de dérouler la fenêtre (située en bas au milieu dans le logiciel) donnant les éventuels Write Descriptor

Re dsl sa fait longtemps ( panne internet ) mais j'ai réussi a graver des DVd+R DL dans mon graveur , j'ai mit a jour son firmware que j'ai trouver sur le site de HP bien que le graveur soit un LG . mais 15 gravure plus tard mon graveur décédé ...bref pas de chance ... mais merci pour votre aide !!!!

Ceci est logique puisque comme je l’ai indiqué plus haut votre graveur était un graveur OEM monté dans votre configuration par ce qu'on peut appeller un « intégrateur » ou « assembleur ».

En l’occurrence il s'agissait de HP et cela aurait pu se déterminer en suivant dès le début les liens figurant dans la conclusion écrite en date du 22 mai 2007 de ce sujet que j’avais indiqué:

Malheureusement l’absence sur GN d’un Post-it indiquant ce fait empêche ou retarde la recherche de la solution à ce type de problème
