Bonjour,

J'ai flashé il y a quelques temps mon 812S en 832S avec un Firmware modifié qu'un pote m'a passé, tout fonctionne bien.
Je cherche a mettre a jour le Firmware mais je ne sais pas lequel choisir.
Néro m'affiche VS08 comme version de firm.
J'ai été voir ici : http://codeguys.rpc1.org/oc.html mais je me perd un peu dans tous les models et versions proposés.
Qui peux m'aider a choisir la bonne version ?

If you have a 812S drive, you should NOT use this "_51S@832S" firmware!  This
firmware, as the name suggests, is for 451S and 851S drives only.

1. Download an unscrambled stock firmware from either dhc014's firmware page or our firmware page.
2. Download the OmniPatcher and read the documentation carefully.
3. Load the stock firmware with the OmniPatcher and apply the crossflashing patch (and while you're at it, any other patches that you want). When you are done, save it.
4. Flash your drive with the patched firmware that you have just created using the OmniPatcher. Please refer to the OmniPatcher documentation for more details about this step.

1. Téléchargez le firmware VS0B - stock - unscrambled
2. Téléchargez http://codeguys.rpc1.org/patchers/dvdrw ... -1.3.9.rar et lisez la doc.
3. ouvrez le fichier vs0b.exe avec Omnipatcher et appliquez le "crossflashing patch"
   Fix the "dead drive blink" / Enable cross-flashing
   This patch serves two purposes. First, for people who have "killed" their drives using RPCDE2 or liteonutil, this patch will fix the blinking light problem that results from this. Additionally, this patch can be used to enable crossflashing (e.g., 451S@851S and 812S@832S) in a firmware.
4. enregistrez sous 812s@832s.exe
5. flashez avec ce nouveau firmware

n'ayant pas de 812S, je n'ai pu tester

J'ai fait le flash, un ptit reboot et tout semble marcher nickel.
Par contre dans omnipatcher il y a les options "Enable Auto bitsetting" et "increase DVD reading speed".
Ont elles un intéret avec mon materiel ?

Increase DVD±R/R9/RW reading speed to 8x
Selecting this patch will increase the reading speed of recordable, rewritable, and recordable double-layer discs (if supported by the drive) from 6x to 8x. If this box is grayed out, then it means that your drive is already at the maximum 8x speed for all of the types of media mentioned (some drive models are already at the maximum speed even with the official firmware).

Enable auto-bitsetting
Auto-bitsetting is probably best explained by this: "Without auto-bitsetting, your drive will not set the booktype of your +R/+RW/+R9 burns unless you explicitly tell it to. With auto-bitsetting, your drive will set the booktype of your +R/+RW/+R9 burns unless you explicitly tell it not to." Just as you can turn on bitsetting on a drive without auto-bitsetting by using the official LiteOn booktype tool, you can turn off bitsetting on a drive with auto-bitsetting by using the official LiteOn booktype tool.

Merci pour ces explications mais comme mon anglais est un peu limite j'ai pas tout compris a propos de l'option bitsetting. Mais ce n'est pas grave, mon graveur fonctionne tres bien sans que je modifie ce parametre alors ça va

Si elle est activée, l'option "auto-bitsetting" fera que ton graveur définira systématiquement le booktype de tes DVD+R/RW/+R9 à moins que tu ne lui dises* expressément de ne pas le faire. Si l'option est désactivée, ce sera l'inverse : par défaut, ton graveur ne configurera pas le booktype de tes médias "+" à moins que tu ne le lui demandes* de le faire !
